■Y/N's POV■

I put my stuff inside my bag and zip it. I got up from my desk and see as my coworkers are all saying goodbye, one by one leaving our office. I walk to the elevator, pulling my phone out of my bag, and open a chatting app.

Sender: L/N Y/N
Recipient: Kawanishi Taichi

Taichi, I'm on my way back home now. Are you on the night shift today? if not, want to eat dinner together at my place? I have some Sukiyaki ingredients.

I press the send button, letting the text reaches the other person. Taichi and I have been together for six years. After we graduated from Shiratorizawa, he and I attended the same University, but different major. We rent an apartment next to each other until now.

Since college, Taichi works as a part time bartender. When he's not on the night shift, we always eat dinner together as we practically living in the same building.

I look at my phone and see that Taichi has read my message but hasn't reply it. I wait until I reach the ground floor but there's still no reply.

Is he busy? I guess he's on the night shift and pretty busy...

I walk out of my office building when.

Kawanishi: Y/N...

I look up to see Taichi walking my way.

Y/N: Taichi? why are you here?

Taichi stops in front of me and takes my bag from my shoulder and hangs it on his.

Kawanishi: picking you up... we're eating Sukiyaki tonight, right?

We can just meet at our apartment but he came...

Y/N: you could just wait at home Taichi... but thank you...

Taichi looks back and takes my hand in his before continuing our walk.

■Kawanishi's POV■

I hold her warm hand in mine, feeling the softness of her skin against mine. Y/N wasn't wrong when she said I could've just waited at home because literally live next to each other, but that's if I was at home, and I wasn't.

We arrived at our apartment building and head to Y/N's. Y/N opens the door and we walk inside. I put her bag on the sofa while Y/N go straight to the kitchen. She opens the fridge and pulls some ingredients out.

I watch as she moves around the kitchen, taking this and that, going here and there. She's now taking some ingredients out of its wrapper.

How could someone look so pretty while ripping a food pack?

I walk to her and stand next to her small frame.

Kawanishi: can I help?

Y/N looks up at me and smiles sweetly, nodding her head.

Y/N: let's... let's cook together.

We prepare the ingredients and getting the pot ready together. After finishing that, we sit next to each other and start eating. Y/N keeps on putting more and more food into my bowl.

Y/N: you like this so eat a lot Taichi...

How sweet...

Y/N: here is another o-

I take a slice of meat and put it in her mouth. She stops talking and starts chewing while looking up at me.

Kawanishi: you too should eat more okay

her face flushed and nods, seeing her could make my heart filled with warmth. We eat and we talk about our day, but there's something that I haven't tell her.

Well... some things...

I need to tell her about these things...

■3rd Person POV■

Kawanishi and Y/N are cleaning the table and washing the plates. They decided to watch a movie together and now sitting on the sofa.

Kawanishi's mind is somewhere else and Y/N could feel that he is thinking about something and not focus on the movie.

Y/N: Taichi? what is it?

Kawanishi looks at the girl next to her, worriedly staring into his eyes. Kawanishi sighs and pulls Y/N to him, burying his face on Y/n's hair. The girl was surprised by her boyfriend's sudden act.

Y/N: Ta-Taichi?

Kawanishi: I quit my part time job...

Y/N's eyes widened when she hears this. Taichi has been working as a bartender for four years by now and Y/N knows he was enjoying his job.

Y/N: why?

Kawanishi pushes her back a little and stares into her eyes, liking how his face is reflected in them.

Actually, for the past few months, Kawanishi has been trying to find a job with a stable income, and last week, he went for an interview and got hired.

Kawanishi: I'm gonna work for x Company starting on Monday.... I was applying to some companies and got hired by one of them.

Y/N's eyes widened when she hears the good news shared by her boyfriend.

Y/N: Taichi, congratulation! But... why so suddenly, you never talk about wanting to find another job...

Kawanishi tucks Y/N's hair behind her ear.

Taichi: because I want to have a stable income... so I can support you... and...

Kawanishi pulls something out of his pocket, a small red box. He flicks it open, showing a cute ring that he bought earlier after resigning from the bar.

Y/N was surprised when she sees the beautiful silver band, it's not something grand nor an expensive looking ring, it's a simple one but it looks pretty.

Y/N: T-Taichi...

Kawanishi: I want to start a family with you Y/N... I want to be a part of your life and... want you to be a part of my life... though you already are...

Y/N's body trembles a little and her eyes grew warm and teary. Kawanishi reaches a hand and wipes the tear that's about to fall.

Kawanishi: Y/N, will you marry me?

Y/N can't stop her heart from beating like crazy or stopping her body that shaking from excitement. She brings her hands to her face and covers her crying face from Kawanishi.

Kawanishi's eyes widened when he sees Y/N nod her head and then finally hears what he wants to hear the most.

Y/N: yes... please... I... I want to marry you, Taichi...

Kawanishi pulls her into him, happiness spreads all over his body and soul. The man who always puts a disinterest expression shows many kinds of faces when he's with Y/N.

Just like now, as he presses their body together, a smile is shown on his face, he can't hide his happiness.

Kawanishi: thank you...

Kawanishi whispers next to Y/N's ears, before pulling back to sees the girl's drenched face. He wipes the trails of tears away before kissing her forehead, the side of her eyes, her nose, and her cheeks.

Kawanishi takes Y/N's hand while his other hand is putting the ring on her finger. When the ring settled on the base of her ring finger, Y/N circling her arms on Kawanishi's neck.

Y/N: I'm... (sobs) I'm really happy... thank you Taichi... I... I love you...

Kawanishi puts his arms around her.

Kawanishi: me too... I love you... Y/N... from now on... let's be together...

Y/N looks up at Kaeanishi and smiles happily.

Y/N: yes...

Kawanishi leans in and presses his lips to Y/N. Y/N clenches the front of his shirt and Kawanishi pulls back, seeing the woman in front of him turn red and breathless.

Kawanishi: it was all started when I proposed to be your practice partner... but now...

Kawanishi smiles at her.

Kawanishi: I'm actually gonna be your partner... for life...

In a couple of months...

These two will be united...

Starting their new life as a new family...
